"Listening for the New:
The First Eastern Shore Women’s Contemplative Retreat"

Come and find the quiet center in the crowded life we lead,

find the room for hope to enter, find the frame where we are freed:

clear the chaos and the clutter, clear our eyes, that we can see

all the things that really matter, be at peace, and simply be.

Early spring brings with it an invitation to be still, to take some time to listen to the stirrings in our lives: what is new and unexpected… what is faded or outgrown.

This contemplative weekend will give you ample opportunity to listen and discern, in the company of other seekers. Through presentations, reflection, artwork, music, poetry, discussion and silent time, we will look the many surprising ways sources of new life companion us, challenge us, and show us the way forward.

The location is the incomparable Cobb Island Station retreat center just north of Cape Charles. This expansive and soulful facility offers a beautiful waterfront setting, grounds for strolling, a labyrinth, hot-tub, and very comfortable accommodations and meeting rooms.
Limited accommodations are available for overnight lodging. Spaces are also available for retreat participation during Saturday only, or during both Saturday and Sunday.
